Seahorses- One Mile Relay Gala

Seahorses Trans and Non-binary swimming will return as part of LEAP Festival Fortnight. The event is a one-off gala at the original venue of Whitehill Pool in Glasgow. The event is FREE!

The event will be a 1 mile relay swim. Form teams as large or small as you like and complete the 64 lengths it takes to swim 1 mile! There will also be the smaller training pool for those who wish to come down and participate in the afternoon but don’t feel like a long swim.

While we really appreciate support from trans allies, this event will operate under “Safe Space” for trans and non-binary identifying individuals only and operate a gender neutral cubicled changing environment.

There will be also be an opportunity to participate in a research project aimed at understanding trans, non-binary and intersex needs in aquatic sports and what can be done to improve aquatic experiences for trans, non-binary and intersex people. The research is voluntary and there is no obligation to participate. Further details can be provided.
