Rainbow Relay Run

Come along and run with us at our debut Rainbow Relay Run on Sunday 25th June 2023 at 10am and help us celebrate LEAP Scotland’s Festival Fortnight.

We’ll be meeting at Aberdeen’s Duthie Park (in front of the Park Cafe) from 9:45am. One of our club jog leads will lead the group through a warm up routine to begin with. We’ll split into groups of 3 people, where each person in the group will complete a 1km loop of Duthie Park 3 times, passing the baton to a teammate after each loop. With each team consisting of 3 people, each runner will therefore be running 3km in total, with each team completing 9km collectively. If there are any new runners joining us, we’ll ensure one of our club jog leads or club runners is in your team should you wish to run less laps.

The Rainbow Run Relay is a fun and inclusive event that is open to everyone – all running abilities are welcome. This is an open and free event and is perfect if it’s your first time joining us! Our club committee will be organising teams on the day, but runners are welcome to come ready with their own 3 person teams. As its a Rainbow Relay Run, runners are encouraged to come dressed as brightly and as a bold as they feel comfortable.

Prizes will be given to the best-named team, best rainbow themed costume, best finish and more! After the run join us in the Duthie Park Cafe for tea/coffee, brunch and a slice of cake – everyone welcome!

Please come ready to run. If you have any valuables you’d like to secure we will have a secure bag drop and there are also toilets available in Duthie Park Cafe. 18+; no gender restrictions.
