Rainbow Rounders

Following on from last year’s successful event, Aberlour Pride Network are proud to announce the date of our 2023 “Rainbow Rounders” tournament at Stirling Sports Village on Friday, 23rd June 2023, from 1pm – 5pm. Rainbow Rounders is a game of inclusive Rounders that sees players and their fans show their support for LGBT+ people by wearing rainbow laces in their sport shoes.

Aberlour have an established Pride Network. Through our Rainbow Rounders event, we are looking to:
 Encourage other organisations and the local community to support diversity and inclusion in sport and the workplace
 Help break down barriers LGBT+ people face in engaging with sport
 Gain new friends, allies and community contacts who have shared goals
 Have some healthy competitive fun!

We are looking teams with a minimum of 7 players, to compete in our Rainbow Rounders tournament. If you have spectators who want to come along to support your team, they will be more than welcome. Team T-shirts, Mascots, Pride Flags and anything else you want to make the day more fun are encouraged.

Each player will receive a pair of Rainbow Laces and there will be healthy refreshments onsite to make sure everyone stays hydrated and fuelled for the competition.

There will be a trophy for the winning team and lots of opportunities to take photos and other media throughout the day to help spread inclusivity and diversity in sport and the workplace.
