Open to All Scrim with DRD

Dundee International Sports Centre, DD4 7AA

OTA is back babaaaay!!

We are opening our doors for an Open To All scrim as part of Leap Sports Festival Fortnight!! We wanted to invite everyone to come and have a jolly on a friday night with us! There is no gender policy in place for this event, and pronouns will be respected: Dundee foster a safe inclusive environment for all.

We also plan to open our doors to the wider public that have perhaps not experienced roller derby before to understand more about our sport and how they can be involved. We are an inclusive and safe space for LGBTQIA+ individuals and strive to engage those that may not have been involved in sport previously. This is an excellent opportunity for the public to come see our sport, without the pressure of a taster session, showcasing the close community that we have across Scotland and the impact sport can have on mental and physical health. We will have league members off skates to explain the rules and strategies for the first hour and the second hour attendees will be able to watch and enjoy at their own leisure. Attending to watch our scrim is run by donation only and there is no obligation for booking before hand to ease financial barriers and anxieties of event attending.

If you are attending on your own or for the first time, do not hesitate to contact us to chat about any queries you have or worries about coming to the hall. We are here to help you feel comfortable at our events 😃

Age restriction of 18+ for competitive skaters, competitive skaters should have experience before taking part, General Public encouraged to come along and chat and learn a bit more about Roller Derby!
