Rainbow Glasgaroos Basketball Taster Sessions

This taster session is for LGBTQIA+ people, aged 18 and above, interested in basketball who face multiple intersectional barriers, challenges, and exclusion in sports. It is open to all genders, sexual orientation, ethnicities, abilities, fitness levels, and basketball experience.

The Rainbow Glasgaroos was founded with the express aim of providing an opportunity to access a team-oriented sport in a safe and friendly environment. We will prioritise those who are systemically excluded – i.e. LGBTQI+ people with diverse backgrounds be it race/ethnicity, religion, immigration status, socio-economic status, disability, age, skill level/experience in basketball. The Glasgaroos is a space for those marginalised in society to find a home in sport.
