Come and Try Archery
Riverside Sports Arena, University Avenue, Ayr, KA8 0SZ
Join us for a welcoming and inclusive LGBTIQ+ “Come and Try” Archery Session! Experience a fun and supportive environment where you can try a variety of activities including soft archery, target games, an inflatable compound range, crossbows, and traditional archery. Whether you’re a complete beginner or just curious to give it a go, there’s something for everyone. Archery is a truly inclusive sport, bringing together people of all backgrounds, ages, and abilities. It’s one of the few activities where disabled and non-disabled participants can take part and compete side by side, with no barriers. Building on the success of last year’s event, we’re proud to once again partner with South Ayrshire Council, Active Schools, and Thriving Communities to encourage LGBTQI+ participation in sport—while highlighting the positive impact on both physical and mental wellbeing. Come along, have fun, and discover the joy of archery in a space where everyone belongs!
