To celebrate Festival Fortnight in 2022, Kirkcaldy High School are working in partnership with Fife Active Schools, neighbouring secondary schools & local LGBT+ Youth Groups to offer LGBTQI+ young people & allies the opportunity to take part in informal sports taster sessions (i.e. Basketball, Boxing, Trampolining & Yoga) and a swimming session at the Michael Woods Sports Centre in Glenrothes on Friday 24th June.

Join Rainbow Glasgaroos for a screening of the Hoop Dreams (1994) documentary and a panel discussion. Hoop Dreams follows the lives of two African-American teenagers from Chicago who struggle to become college basketball players on the road to going professional. In the essay by the seminar author, activist and feminist Bell Hooks, encourages us to take a critical view of the highly praised documentary. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion and Q&A about the documentary.

5k-ish walk around a beautiful open park in Giffnock, beginning at the space of ground between the kids play park and the skate park walk take the time to enjoy a lovely walk around Rouken Glen, head to the boating pond or the Waterfall and come back and join us for a bite to eat and time to talk. Our picnic will be ready with vegan and vegetarian options at the end of the walk for everyone attending, regardless of the length walked. The route is very accessible, safe and open for anyone who would like to take part.
